Youth Advocacy School

With the purpose of fulfilling the advocacy skill and knowledge and apply it to real community as a tool, the MYPO implemented an eight month long ‘ Youth Advocacy School’ at Mawlamyine, Mon State. There are 21 students from different townships in this school. The school is designed into two parts which are teaching and practicing. The teaching part is 5 months long and the practical session is last for three months. The five months studies mainly focus on the theory of advocacy, methods of advocacy and its processes. On three months plan, the students provide related short discussion in their community and presenting a role play on illegal drug issue in order to advocate community to be aware on bad consequences of the illegal drug. Other than advocacy issues, topic of Democracy, Communication and public relation,  time, task and organizational management and political knowledge are taught in the first five months.
